DJ....HELP!!!

Ok - I really don't know where to start with a dj. I know i've been to a million weddings, but all of the sudden I can't remember any of their names - I know I've had fun and I'm the type that will always dance! I've looked at the dj vendors in ct but how do i really know if they are good - i don't have time to be a groupie! I want someone that is going to pump up the guests and be involved with the party -  and play awesome music!

any suggestions??

    Power Posse Productions is awesome!  They really know how to get the party started and keep everyone on the dance floor!  They are located in Mystic, CT.

    Our DJ was awesome!! http://actiondj.9f.com His name is John (DJ Johnny C). The website isn't much to speak of but he was really great to work with & people were on the dance floor all night. He played everything we wanted him to and steared clear of everything we said no to.

    I would make a list based on who the girls and other recs from friends, and then go meet them in person. Ask to see them at an event or try to go to a bridal show where they are--I like to see them in action to get a really good feel.

    We are using After Hours DJ in Enfield.  We have seen them before and they were amazing.  www.afterhoursdj.com

    Also there were two websites that we found helpful in making our final choice for our vendors.  They have a ton of reviews on everything.

    Our DJ was really  good and affordable DJ Jason Palermo (melee) He is going to be at Mohegan Sun NYE if you want to check him out in action.

    We loved our DJ, we used Tom Salatto from Starry Nite Entertainment. We chose him because he was half the cost of other DJ's we looked into and had a great resume with tons of experience in the business. He had a great personality and was a great MC and kept our dance floor packed. He also joined in on the fun and headed up the conga line near the end of the night. Everyone loved him!
