"Do Not Play" List

Just out of curiosity, what was/is on your "do not play" list to your DJ? I've been trying to think of things I don't want played and I'm sure I've missed some haha

    chicken dance.
    macarena.
    things with explicit lyrics.
songs where I would blush  if I had to read the lyrics to my grandmother.

(this is hypothetical because we're not having a dj)

    the electric slide
    chicken dance
    YMCA
    Hokie Pokie (spelling?)

I would assume these are just known, but I have them on my list just in case someone tries to request them.

ps. sorry for the weird formatting, I copied it from a form.

Ps, i do know people kept requesting Cha Cha Slide and I'm so glad we had that on there. Used to be like my fave song at school dances, but come on, not at a wedding!

if your receptions a dive due to your own choice of crappy music, then who's to blame...

hire your DJ and let them make the party.

My friend had Cotten Eye Joe on her "must play" list because it had a certain history for our group of friends.  But it turned out to be really awkward.  The dance floor cleared except for 4 of us.

Most of ours have already been covered...we also said no James Taylor because neither of us like him. All the single ladies by Beyonce was on there. I absolutely hate that song.

I dread working on the music for the wedding. We are using our Ipod.  I will agonize over each and every song choice.

What song does your FI want to dance to with his mom?? She keeps asking me for the name of the song...well, I don't have a clue b/c I'm not going to pick it for them.  Maybe a list of suggestions will help speed up the process.

Oh, have I mentioned my FI wants to have the "Mexican Hat Dance" played at our wedding? He is such a weirdo.

I put down anything that inspires a conga line.  I never liked being in one, and so I wanted to spare my guests from that.
