Barr Mansion?

Hey girls! I just got engaged on Friday, 12/10/10, and I was just looking at Barr Mansion because I want to set our date and find our venue by the end of January 2011. Does anyone have reviews on Barr Mansion or have you been a guest at a wedding there? Anything would help. Thanks-Toni

    Barr Mansion is lovely!  The food is great, and if I remember correctly, my friend that got married there said they use all locally grown/organic produce and eco-friendly items.  I think they even did my friend's wedding cake, and it was delicious!

    I am married now and my wedding planning is long over, but we looked at Barr Mansion when we were searching for venues. The grounds are lovely, the food is great and the people are awesome. What turned us off about them was that they were located right next to a busy road. If our ceremony were to be outside at that venue you'd definitely be able to hear traffic noise. It just wasn't what we had in mind. The pictures make it seem much more secluded than it is.

    We are getting married at Barr Mansion at the end of January and have nothing but amazing things to say!  The new ballroom is going to be amazing! We have been to our tasting and the food was great, cakes were so delicious, and the wait staff was on point the entire evening. If you choose to do your ceremony and reception in the ballroom, you can't hear any traffic or any outside noise, even though it is off of a somewhat busy road.  It is only a 2 lane road that goes in front of it, so there isn't a constant traffic flow.  The people at Barr Mansion are amazing, super helpful and on top of things.  All food is organic and most is locally grown. Wedding cakes are included, both the actual wedding cake and the grooms cake (and did I mention that they are delicious??).

    Its definitely a place to look into and we highly recommend them!

    Great! I love that all the food is organic! Thank you everyone for the reviews and sara.judkins, congrats on your upcoming wedding. I actually set up a private tour yesterday to view the venue in January so I am super excited. Thanks again everyone:)
