Wedding bands?

Have you gotten yours yet? It doesn't seem like something that needs to be done way in advance, but then I heard that if you need to send it out it may take a few weeks??

I haven't gotten FI yet because he wants a tattoo of his wedding band but he will be getting a simple band for the ring ceremony. I think you still have plenty of time before you have to worry about that.

FI and I got ours already. It took us awhile to pick out which ones we liked because we rarely see each other so what would take most couples a couple of weeks, takes us a couple of months. My engagement ring is from Tiffany's, my wedding band is from Kay and his wedding band is from Jared. We wanted to stick to national chains because we'll be transferred a lot over his career, so we wanted to make sure that any service plan we purchased could be utilized wherever we go. Kay took awhile because he bought it for me Dec. 1st in Tampa and it had to be resized at their repair shop, then shipped back to the Tampa store and then shipped to the Panama City Beach store. I'm pretty sure they could have skipped a step in there somewhere but needless to say, it took two to three weeks for that whole evolution. We bought FI's band in Pittsburgh and had it shipped to my place in Panama City Beach, which took about a week.

If you want to get anything engraved on your bands, that will add some time to the process. Mine is an enhancer, so I can't engrave anything and FI's band is 3mm so I'm not sure it's big enough to engrave anything on it but we haven't asked yet.

We haven't gotten ours yet. We're almost certainly just going for plain yellow gold bands though, so I don't think we'll have much trouble finding them.

The time it takes for the bands to be ready depends on what you want. My dad's BFF is a jeweler and made my engagement ring, when I asked how long it would take for the matching band he said only a few weeks if I wanted that exact design.

Yup we got ours already. Mine is sized and ready, but I have to take FI's in in March to get sized. I'll admit- I've worn mine a few times around the house for like 5 minutes because I liked the look of it.. heh

We got ours in early January. They they were done in less than a week. We went early because I wanted a band that had small diamonds around part of it and my ring finger is a size 3 1/2. They told us to come early because they might run into an issue sizing a band that has stones in it, but we must have picked the right one because there was no problem! Yes, you still have time, but go soon if you can

we got ours like 3 weeks ago FIs came in the next week but mine is being custom made to match my E-ring which is actually a wedding band and an E-ring already sottered together (it was my moms so its like 30 years old and nothing matches the curve that you can just buy)

We haven't gotten ours yet. FI hasn't found one he likes yet and we are waiting to order mine. Generally, the stores we have spoken to said it would take about 2-3 weeks to order.

We got ours around the beginning of the month. We got a groupon and ordered from Blue Nile (50% off mine, 25% off his) . I think they shipped in about a week.

We have our bands, they came like a late Christmas present a few days after the holiday.

My FI's is from Etsy , titanium double groove 6mm band and was created from a block in his size the day after I ordered it. It's beautiful and he loves it.

Mine is from Amazon belive it or not. I was having a hard time finding a curved/notched band that would fit with my engagement ring well in the big jewelery stores and we decided to risk it on a band from Amazon. Of course, ordering online and not in person, we couldn't be sure about until it arrived. It's PERFECT, thankfully!

We just got ours yesterday! We had ordered very early though (november) because we were using a custom jeweler and then getting a custom design for mine. So, we wanted to leave plenty of time for him to make it and then time for us to get things resized if we need (which we think we'll have to do with FI...we're trying to test it out when his hands aren't so shrunk down from the freezing cold weather!). If you're looking for anything custom, I'd start looking soon, just to budget time for that.

We've had ours for what seems like forever. We got them at Kay as well. FI's tungsten band took about a week or so to come in because those can't be resized so they order them in the size you need when you buy it.

My band could have been taken home that day....if I wore a size 7. I don't, so they had to send the size 7 out to get it sized, and they sent my e-ring with it so they could get the perfect fit around my e-ring. (It's an oval solitaire on a Tiffany mounting and I had a heck of a time finding a band that would fit with it.) I think mine took 2-3 weeks to come in.

Keep in mind that spring is a very popular time for weddings so you may run into a bit of a longer wait because I'm sure a lot of people are either ordering rings, or having them sized/dipped/cleaned/inspected right before their weddings.

We got ours last summer. FI got his tungsten ring on overstock for like $35. Kay was having a huge labor day sale so I got a good deal on mine. It had to be sized but I think that only took a week or two at the most.

Once the first band came in, we realized we couldn't do twins because they don't have another of the same band in my size. We bought our bands back in mid-December. We actually went to look back in November, and the manager at Kay told us they would have a sale in mid-December...so we put our bands on hold until the sale date! They are purchased now and FI's fits perfectly, but mine needs to be sized. I'll probably take it in early March.

Haha the one I got is like 3 sizes too big and were gonna have to have it sized to fit my ring. My ring needed a curved band too and I was glad to find it fits perfectly. My only qualms are I'm worried its not as, I guess, sparkly or bright as my E ring. But you're not gonna get that for the price it was. I'm thinking if my jeweler can't work with it after the wedding well look into getting something else if we have to. But I'm really hoping this band works out

I think it depends on the type of metal you get or if you need an extremely above average large or small ring size. If you are looking to get something super special and you're getting a ton of diamonds in it or designing your own I would go now.
