Grooms cake?

Anybody doing a groom's cake? Are you suprising your FI with the cake or is he picking it out?

My FI read somewhere that the bride usually suprises the groom with a cake, so I asked him if he wanted me to suprise him, and he says no, lol. He wants to be the one to pick it out. I think he wants to do something Dallas Cowboys inspired. One less thing for me to think about!

Yes, I'm getting one...its free with the wedding cake. He will be surprised because when I ask about it, he was like: "What is that and why I am getting one?" He did not go to order the cake, so he has no idea. I'm going law books and a gavel.

Your FI is a Cowgirls fan too??? I tell ya! FI proposed to me during the Cowboys Mon Night football game last October. Have you thought about who you would have do the cake? I'm 30 days out and that minor detail.....still on my radar.

They've opened one in Buckhead across the street from my job! I think Hapeville may be little far since we're getting married in Gwinnett.

I decided not to get a groom's cake. I feel like they always go to waste. I let him pick the cake flavors. I hate them but whatever, its his thing

i just DONT GET IT. i cant understand buying 2 cakes, who is gunna eat all the cake? do people really even like cake forreal? I figure ill spend the money that i would on a cake for something he can have forever....a boudior album. its bout to get sexy ;-)

Our was suggested by our baker. We like cake and knew we would want some afterwards. I was nervous we would start eating the anny top piece early. So she recommended the grooms cake as we could take it back to the hotel with us and have it vacation, something her daughter did, as still have the top piece. Plus it's her gift to us.

This is something like what Bae wants for his cake except for having St. Aug on there (which he went to that high school in New Orleans) He wants to put Southern University on there and then we will have Tulane University cupcakes on the table!
