Bridal stores in south east michigan

Hello Everyone!

I'm 14 months away from the wedding and need to start looking for a dress! Anyone know of some nice bridal salons in south east michigan? I'm looking for anywhere from Warren to Shelby Township etc. Budget is under $1000 so nowhere too fancy! Would love to hear where you received good service and where to stay away from.

Thank you in advance!

Sarah

  • I got my dress at Bella Rose Bridal at 22 and Hayes. Great selection of dresses in all sorts of price ranges! I also went to Arena Bridal in Shelby Twp. The great part about them is that the alterations are included when you buy the dress, and they have a lot of dresses arranged by price range.

  • I went to Brides by Demetrios in Troy and had a wonderful experience. I didn't know what I was looking for and Jenine (sp?) helped me find "the dress". Definitely worth it.

I'm one of the few people who had a good experience at David's Bridal (it's also the only shop I went to...), but I had both my Maid and Matron of Honor with me, and basically didn't use help from the David's people at all.
  • Alessandra's in Warren.  Amazing experience.  And, they were respectful of my $1,000 budget.
  • I am going to David's this weekend.  I have heard a lot of mixed reviews, but I am trying them first due to budget, their huge collection and proximity to me.  When I called to make the appt they were very nice and professional so hopefully that is a good start.

I found my dress there as well.  It was the best shop I went to (and not just because I found my dress there).  The staff are amazing and so helpful.

Alessandra's is fabulous. They have many dresses under $1000 and their customer service is well renowned.

They are on Hoover just north of 12 Mile Rd........next to a President Tuxedo, LOL.
  • I'm going to David's this weekend too!

Its my first appointment I'm excited and stressed out at the same time.

    Good Luck!!

  • Ditto PP with Alessandra's (that's where I got mine, ask for Kendra, she's amazing) and Bombshell.  Bombshell is down the street from my house and I always see it when I go to the gym, but I never went in because I already had my dress and I'm not plus size anymore.  I went in there because they have shoes available in wide widths (Fred Flinstone feet) and to my surprise, they accomodate brides of all sizes and they are absolutely FABULOUS.  I loved my experience at Alessandra's, but I would love to have gone shopping at Bombshell as well.  Their prices are really reasonable, too.

We got our maids dresses at Konja's in Berkley and also visited The Wedding Shoppe and both of them were also great.  My FSIL got her dress at TWS for less than $600.

Good luck wherever you choose :0)

  • I got my dress at Arena Bridal in Shelby Township, and the bridesmaid dresses at Demetrios in Troy.  My experience at Demetrios was WONDERFUL, I would definitely suggest trying there.  Good luck!

  • Thank you so much for all the suggestions! I have a good list to get started now. I’ll be sure to post back my experience and let everyone know what I find. Thank you ladies!! :)

  • Thanks to those who suggested Bombshell!  If things don't go well at David's this weekend that place is going to be my next stop!

  • I just went dress shopping this weekend. I ended up at a shop called Bella Donna's in Wyandotte. The service was amazing, even though they were super busy and short staffed due to 2 employees ebing out with the flu. If i didnt hear that, I would have bee none the wiser. I definately recommend going there! I will get going back to buy my dress in a few weeks!!
