UPDATE: "A stranger spent $170+ buying gifts from our registry?"

Solved! It turned out to be a family friend who used her credit card with her Maiden name on it. She also has a weird Chiense legal name that no one knows about so that's why it didn't register. My mom texted me and told me that the subject came up while she was over the house. She vaguley remembered that I asked about someone with a last name "Ho".
I'm just happy to know that it's a gift meant for us and we won't have to return it.

For those who thinks snooping around your registry before your present gets there is a sin: Good for you! If I don't check my registry then I won't know when a gift has been mailed to my moms (she doesn't update me) therefore people won't be getting their thank you letters on time.

  • Yes, that's what I thought.  I personally couldn't care less if you or some other random bride here registry stalks, and I did it (and if you search here, lots of people talk about doing it), but if it's going to get you this worked up, you might want to let up a little.

<div>My mother is a piece of work. Anything that has to do with details become a frustrating event. I do not trust her ability to update me in a timely manner when a gift arrives. At the end, if I missed out on someone and explaining to the gift giver that "my mother didn't update me." just doesn't sound very responsible. </div>

Then why are the gifts being sent to her house?
