Island Sound Reviews.

We're looking to book our DJ in the next few weeks and I was wondering if any of you ladies used Island Sound?

We're the professional? Play the songs you requested, skipped the ones you asked not to be played? Did your guests interact with them? Over all what did you think?

Would you suggest any other DJ service?

    I have never heard of them (not that that matters) so can't give any advice on that particular DJ.  What part of the state are you getting married in?

    You might want to check the NC Bride Bio. I think there's a review or 2 about them in there. If I remember correctly they were not the most positive reviews. I used Danamare productions. Dan was professional and easy to work with. He didn't play anything on our do not play list. I can't honestly tell you if he played all the music we requested but everyone had fun and he played all the important music. GL with your search!

    We are using All The Right Grooves which is also a board favorite...they have great reviews and everyone that has used them gives them major thumbs up.  We're super pleased about our entertainment choice!

    We spoke with them via email before booking ATRG and they seemed really nice and very professional.  They even sent me a DVD of their work.  I thought they were kind of expensive is the reason we decided not to go with them.  My photographer gave them rave reviews though.  He said that he had seen them at a bunch of weddings and thought they were awesome.

    How are ATRGs rates? I've heard alot of great reviews on them too.

    It says $775 for 4 hours for Raleigh.  Island Sound quoted us almost double that.

    We're paying $825 to Lake Lure/Asheville, Sunday wedding and they are doing our ceremony set up too.

    $775 sounds a whole lot better than $1300. And with ATRG being a board favorite, I'd be crazy not to look into them. Thanks Ladies!

    Thanks ladies! ATRG was my first choice but they were booked on our date :-/ Lots of ladies from the board have used them & I don't remember ever hearing anything negative about them.

    Island Sound's pricing is almost the same as ATRG and many others in the area, with a 3 hour package at $675, 4 hours for $775. We do offer bigger packages (accent lighting, monogram in light, etc...) and DJ/Video Combo packages too. Each package is customizable so you can get exactly what you want for your wedding day.
