ALL STL brides read this!!!!!

To all the newly engaged out there!!! DO NOT GET YOUR WEDDING GOWN OR BRIDESMAID DRESSES OR TUXES FROM THE WEDDING GALLERY IN ST. CHARLES MISSOURI!!!!!!! First of all they ordered my dresses about 4 months late, and told me that was my fault, even though all my girls got measured and put down payments in the day we tried dresses on.  Then, when the dresses came in..... just 3 and 1/2 weeks before the wedding only 2 out of 5 of them fit !!!!! The owner told me that the dresses would be rush ordered... at the shops expense so that they would come in, in pleanty of time, but they didn't come in early at all, I think she just told me that to shut me up, she didn't want to spend the extra money to fix her screw up and make her customer happy! If you want your wedding to go smoothly, DO NOT GO TO THE WEDDING GALLERY IN ST. CHARLES, MISSOURI !!!!!!

Things are working out, they got us in ASAP to get things going, but are still trying to charge full price for some of the alterations and still trying to blame the dresses coming in late on me. They said that I should have been following up to be sure that they ordered the dresses! What am I, there Mother??? When my girls put their money down and got measured, dresses should have been ordered! I should not have to call them and make sure they have done their job! I know it will all work out but I should have never gone through this, and no one else should ever have to either!!!!

I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience there...I actually ordered my dress from there in May and it came in early! I didn't have any issues and it fit me perfectly. I am not having them hem it or do the bustle though since I know people who can do it for cheaper.

I'm glad you posted this. I also had a terrible experience with the Wedding Gallery. I went there after a wedding show on a Sunday for my first look at dresses. They had no appointments so they took me in. I found THE dress! Since it was only my first place, I thought I was just falling in love with it because it was a wedding dress. I was upset because they will not let you take pictures of the dresses until you purchase it. And I wanted to know who the designer was of my dress and they told me that they could not find that out until they order the dress. They cut the designer's tags out of the dresses and put their own tags in. Sounds shady to me!

So I waited about a month or so and made an appointment at Clarice's and at the Wedding Gallery in the same day and brought along my mom, matron of honor and 2 other bridesmaids. I tried on many dresses at Clarice's and nothing compared to that one from before. Katie, at Clarice's, was so helpful and understanding. So we went to the Wedding Gallery and I tried on THE dress. I knew I still loved it and everyone else loved it too. Then everyone was getting upset because they wouldn't tell us the designer or let us take pictures. All of my girls were on their phones taking pictures anyway. I wanted it so bad that I was willing to look past it UNTIL, I had a coupon from a bridal show for 20% off my dress and she says that those were mis-printed and it's 20% of the wedding dress price can be used towards a veil.

I flipped out. I went into the dressing room with my matron of honor, took the dress off and held it up for her to take pictures with my camera and stormed out of the store. They had terrible customer service, all of their employees were dressed in jeans, flip flops, and t-shirts. I took the pictures to Clarice's and Katie found that dress for me within 1 minute. AND it was $300 cheaper at Clarice's and they had a coupon for $100 and it wasn't a mis-print. They have gone above and beyond for me. I ordered my wedding dress on August 21st and it is expected in on Decemeber 10th.

I went there and the owner told me that the dress I was considered had to be purchased that day because "tomorrow, the price goes up".

No way, Jose. I would NEVER go back there.

That's a shame...I've been in 3 times first to look at wedding dresses and recently for bridesmaid dresses, and I've been treated with nothing but sincere and attentive service. I didn't get my dress there only because I fell in love with a dress at another store. But I too found a dress at the Wedding Gallery that I thought was the ONE and ran into the same policy. But I totally get why they don't allow people to take photos of the dresses or tell you the name of the designers. This is their livelihood and if they gave out that information then everyone would just go online to buy the same dresses on ebridal or bestbridal. The policy protects their business and many of the bridal stores do the same thing. My girls are getting their bridesmaid dresses from there so hopefully no snaffus, but I totally understand...one bad day for an employee can totally ruin a chance for good customer service. Like the saying goes "You never get a second chance at a first impression."
