Booked the florist

Had my second flower appt yesterday and they made it super easy for me to make my decision by not being at all prepared and charging way more than the first person I talked to.  And, as an added bonus, my mom really got along well with the lady I picked, so that's nice.

The 2 big things we have left is cake and tuxes.  I'm sure other things will pop up, but it's nice to have the big things out of the way this early.

    Since we're having a multi-colored wedding, our bouquets will be really bright.  I'm a big fan of alstromeria, so we'll be using a lot of those in purple and yellow, and some gerbera daisies, and other bright flowers to bring out the orange and pink in our rainbow of colors.  My bouquet will also contain a single purple iris in memory of my dad.
    We aren't doing much for ceremony flowers, since we're outside.  But we will have a memorial bouquet to put at a table with pictures of all of our grandparents and my dad.  
    Still working on guys boutineers - I wanted to do a gerbera daisy, but my FI says that looks like a clown flower that will shoot water at people.  So, I'm thinking something with green button mums and purple stock, since those are his 2 favorite colors.
    Centerpieces are also a work in progress, but I did find out that it's customary to use the bridesmaids bouquets as the centerpiece flowers for the head table.  For the rest of the tables, we are probably going to use craft beer bottles with one or 2 stems of alstromeria in them.
