Real flower cake topper

Are Fressias too fragrant to use on the tiered wedding cake

Re: Real flower cake topper

  • I wouldn't worry about scent.  Just make sure that they are organic so you don't have any kind of pesticide on the cake.

  • just gently wash the flowers and let them dry......it will wash anything that are on them off.
  • I've seen some freesias that had almost no scent (they were cut stems from a florist). But others that were in a mixed planter (live plants), were very fragrant, and could be smelled from several feet away.

You might ask your florist.  If they have only a light fragrance, it should be fine in a large open room.  If they are typically very fragrant, it might clash with the smell of foods and cake..
