Earlier today I called to see if our rings would be ready today so I could pick them up instead of tomorrow morning, save me a 20-mile trip tomorrow before my hour trip to the city we are getting married in. I called when they opened up around 10am, they told me they would have them done by 4pm, and it was actually just my ring that they were working on because my e-ring was being attached to the wrap-around wedding band. My FI's ring we ordered in and was to be delivered on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week.
I get to the Jeweler today to pick up the rings and they just brought out my ring, not my FI's ring. I told them I was there for both of them, so they went back to find his. Well they came back and said his didn't come in. What!!! My heart sank when I heard them say that. I told them that they had reassured me it would be here by Wednesday at the latest. So while I was at the counter about to have a meltdown, one of the girls was on the phone to their main store that so happens to be in the city we are getting married in.
She comes back a few moments later and tells me that the ring was mailed to that store first and just arrived there today, so they put a hold on it so it didn't get mailed out to the store I was at, because otherwise it wouldn't arrive til Saturday or Monday.
So just when I was about to freak out, they did try to calm me down about it and told me that I could stop and pick it up at other store when I get to the city in the morning.
Just when I thought everything was right on track finally and was doing pretty well with not much stress, it skyrockets in the matter of a few words of "it didn't come in". Thank goodness I can pick it up at the other store in the morning!
