alteration advice

Does anyone have any advice about who to go to for alterations to my dress?? I bought it off the rack for a great deal, but it needs to be taken in and up quite a bit. I want to make sure I go to a good seamtress. European Bridal suggested Jenny's Bridal Alterations. Anyone ever used her? Please give me any input! Thanks Smile

    I always use Pauline Miller - www.stitchesbypauline.com - she is wonderful. She's doing my dress and it needs to be taken in 2 sizes. Additionally, she fixed a major dress disaster for my mother-in-law in 2 days. She is great. Good luck with everything!

    Stitches by Pauline, she was fantastic! Good prices, worked quick, everything turned out great. I had one fitting, and when I came back for my second fitting, everything was perfect. She also pressed my dress, and did all my BM's dresses. http://www.stitchesbypauline.com/

    I highly suggest Lorie Schur. She's in the Fairfield area and she took my off the rack sample dress - size 12 - and altered it to a size 4! And it cost less than $150!! She's absolutely amazing! Other girls on her have gone to her as well and all have rave reviews about her!

    I used Kim Dao Alterations.  She's located downtown near the Hamilton Library and The Garfield Hotel.  Her strength is her problem-solving abilities, and by going from a size 10+ to size 4, you will need someone who is experienced.  She would be someone I believe who can help you.
