Hotel Welcome Bags

Is anyone doing this? Is it necessary?

Someone in my office just told me I really should do it since a lot of people are coming from out of town. Uhh. What types of things are you putting in yours if you're having them?

I think it's nice to do. We went to a wedding where it was just a simple paper bag with our names on it and directions to the ceremony, as well as small bottles of water, chips / pretzles, and breath mints.

I agree! I think they are a nice touch for your OOT guests. You can put things from CT (Pez, etc.) inside & some other ideas like these....

Yeah we're doing them. I feel that it's a nice way of saying thank you to those who had to travel to come to your wedding and pay for a hotel room and all that stuff.

We're putting the following items into our OOT bags:

    ~Welcome letter
    ~Personalized water bottles
    ~Small packet of pain reliever
    ~Granola bars
    ~Bag of chips
~Butterfly cookies (to go with our butterfly theme)
    ~Door hangers (picture below)

I'm obsessed with your door tags.

And the weddingbeeblog was a HUGE help.

    Thank you, ladies! :)

I was definitely going to do a welcome letter and such. I think I'm having an 18 month crisis. I feel like I'm not on top of any of the details. When we got enagaged, I asked our recently married friend if she could go back and do something different, what would it be? And she said, "I would have given myself a year and a half instead of just a year." Well, 6 months later I'm at a year and a half and I feel like I've slacked on important details and I forgot another one.

Wahwahwah. I should probably have some cheese to go with this whine.

    LOL!

Take it a day at a time! I wanted to get all majors booked ASAP so I had that done last year but now I am working on small details to get it payed and done before the  day creeps up on me (which I cannot believe how fast time is going)!!

xoxob: you have plenty of time! Relax and breathe! :0)

We are having a 16 month engagement and we're down to the last 3 months and I feel that I had more than enough to plan and do a lot of DIY projects.

The best thing about those door hangers.. they're SUPER cheap! I think I paid like $4.00 plus shipping for 12 of them! Laughing

You can pick different fonts and stuff, and I told her my wedding colors were gold and light pink so she printed them off in pink. She was really nice and easy to work with. :0)

I agree it's nice to do, but frankly we don't have the $$ to do it, not even a penny to spend... so we are skipping them.

And the doorhangers are so cute and such an awesome idea!

I believe Pepperidge Farm is based in CT, so goldfish and milanos would be goodl A wifle ball from the wiffle ball factory! Munson chocolates, Tetley tea bags, mini bottles of wine from one of the CT vineyards.

Oh man! Thank you for all of those ideas.

We booked out caterer, and last night out drinking one of my BM's said "Do you know what flowers you want?" and I said "No?" Soooo, she has scheduled me for some quality paying attention to details time. :)
