Alterations?

Hello all!  I have been on this board a few times before, but not too much.  I am a senior in college am graduating in May and am getting married in July back home in Pa.  I go to school in Ohio and it looks like I may be taking a job out here.  Since I may be working and living out here, I am most likely going to have to get my dressed altered out in Ohio as well.

My questions are: Is the Columbus David's Bridal any good?  Are there any other seamstresses or shops that are good?  I am looking to get my dress hemmed, a bustle added and some beading underneath the arms to be removed.  TIA ladies :)

I don't remember any of the ladies around here saying anything about the DB alterations dept. I purchased and got my dress altered at Alan Ray Bridal.

However, many of the ladies around here seem to recommend Linda Hine and a few others. You may try scrolling down the page and perhaps back a few pages to look through old threads that have to do with alterations. I think Linda Hine's contact info in one of the old threads as well.

Back in my early days of planning I recall some ladies mentioning issues they had with davids bridal (different locations too). But unfortunately I don't remember the specifics.

I (and you'll find a great number of other knotties here) used Linda Hine. She's a tad on the costly side, but her work is flawless. I had a hem, french bustle, and the bodice taken in on my dress and everything ended up perfect.

I've been working with a lady named Karen Schott. She did my alterations (great quality) for an amazing price, I literally could not believe the price at the end because it was so low. Let me know if you want her contact information.
