Who's around tonight?

I had probably the most uncomfortable conversation of my life today; I had to tell my father that he isn't walking me down the aisle, but my step-father was. My father and I were never close and he has never been a presence in my life; although absurd, I never assumed he would expect to do that. In any case I still feel like a giant a-hole after that conversation.

What have you ladies gotten into today?

    Productive Day for me.....did a project for school (with no help from my useless group), did an insanity workout, went grocery shopping, had lunch out with FI, went BBQ shopping and now I am at my parents house helping make dinner!  Might do some more DIY with my mom after dinner!

    How did your convo go?  How did he react?

    @Jane: I thought I was pretty sensitive and told him that I appreciated what an important role it was and my step-dad will be walking with me. I didn't get into the whys of why he wouldn't be, and his reaction was like, "Huh? I guess that's ok."

    He didn't seem upset, but mummy called me and said he's been blowing up her phone demanding that Wayne step down and allow him to take his rightful place. They've slugged each other before, its no biggie and I'm happy he's grown out of a-hole mode and didn't attack me with it, but Wayne doesn't deserve that and he's NOT stepping down - I won't let him.

    Ughh, it was so messy :(

    Sorry to hear that. That convo must of sucked.
    I don't have to have that convo because my dad (who I call my sperm donor) isn't even invited.

    I've been working on wedding stuff all day. Spray painting frames, working on the ceremony, and now typing out the programs.

    I'm on Spring Break with my family in California. It. Is. Awesome. WE took surfing lessons today and I am exhausted!! Waiting to go to dinner and then we'll go to bed after that.

    Sorry you had to go through that. I hope he understood your point of view. 

    Today FI and I cleaned the apartment, did our budget that we will use to begin our marriage and pre-matrial counseling.

    I also got my taxes done by one of his cousins ( and one of my BM). I did her daughters hair for payment. It was great.

    Sorry your bio dad is being a diva. I love how they think they can be absent for so much of your life and then they think they still get the honor. I spent my entire day working on my taxes. Barf. And I still have a lot of work to do.
