I did a round of wedding dress shopping today and wanted to share my experiences:
Classic Weddings, Lititz, PA (closer to Brownstown, though)
Wonderful, wonderful service. Small shop but outstanding selection, particularly for a big girl. The owner was very attentive, even while dealing with various other customers who came in for pick ups/fittings/etc. She asked what I was looking for in a dress and began pulling selections for me. She listened to my likes and understood what I was looking for. You can tell that she really cares about her work and that her concern is to help you feel absolutely beautiful on your wedding day.
Weddings by Paulette, Millersville, PA
Not so wonderful service. I had brought along photos of dresses from designers they carry in the store, but they didn't have any of those dresses in the shop. We were allowed us to look through the selection, and although they said that the sizes were organized as marked, that was not the case. Not the shop's fault, but I ended up with a lot of dresses that were not the right size that I couldn't get into. They told me to just hold them up to my body to get the idea. But holding them up to your body is nothing compared to actually being in the dress. We spent only half an hour here. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone, unless you are slim and want to pull out your own selections to try on.
Alfred Angelo, Fruitville Pike, Lancaster
We did not have an appointment, and just decided to stop in to see if we could find something. They were super accomodating and really friendly. Our consultant, Tori, was so, so friendly and truly seemed to care about finding the right dress for my body shape. She listened to what I wanted and pulled dresses based on my criteria. She was so sincere about what looked good and what didn't. Because my mom wasn't able to be with us today, she suggested that we make an appointment for the next day (her day off) so that my mom couuld see the dress too. Wonderful experience, great staff, very extensive collection.
