Venue Locations in Madison?

Anyone have any suggestions on venues (Ceremony and Reception) in the Madison area?

We're open to looking at interesting/non-traditional locations as opposed to the typical Monona Terrace ballroom-type places.

I am having my reception at the Lussier Family Heritage center. It's a great price and a beautiful location. Here's there site: http://www.countyofdane.com/lwrd/parks/heritage/

I also liked Badger Farms:http://www.badgerfarms.com/ and the Eastside club: http://www.escmadison.com/

I would recommend checking out wedplan.com. They have a lot of reception spaces listed.

Our reception is going to be at the Goodman Community Center www.goodmancenter.org it's also super affordable, you can have both ceremony and reception there (it means a lot to my partner to be married in his family's church or else we'd probably have the ceremony there too).

There's also warner park community center (which has a beautiful wall of windows) and olbrich gardens. However, with both of those you're limited with who can do your catering and with olbrich you have to buy a special pass for your photographer. With Goodman we could bring in anyone or have a pot luck if we wanted to.

    Hope this helps!

Our ceremony's at Holy Wisdom Monastery, and our reception's at The Madison Club. HWM is beeeeaaauuutiful, and you're able to be any denomination. When we were looking, I also really liked the chapel in James Madison Park. It's small, but it's very afforable and really personal, also, it's right on the lake. I think it's called the Gates of Heaven Chapel. Have you considered Olbrich Gardens?

I looked at Tyrol Basin.  You get married at the top of the ski hill and guests get to ride the chair lift.

I got married at the Monona Terrace - it was lovely!

First Unitarian Society (they have a more "churchy" area as well as a large atrium/auditorium that are both architectually beautiful.  http://www.fusmadison.org/

I had my reception at the Brink Lounge, because I also, didn't want the typical hotel ballroom. http://www.thebrinklounge.com/Weddings.html
