Accomplishments this week

Let's hear what we've all been working on this week and the progress we are making!

So far this week I have:  1)  made my favor tags and started making the bows for the boxes  2)  designed programs (waiting on more paper before I print)  3)  sent payments for my venue and photographer (ouch)  4) had my second fitting - OMG I am in love with my dress! and 5) dealt with a linen crisis.  We had ordered fabric back in February to have our linens made and when the seamstress started she found that the fabric had holes and stains peppered throuout.  Since we are past 30 days the company will not refund me my money.  So now I'm out $183 and have no linens.  Lovely. 

Still on the agenda to work on this week is booking our dance lessons, making an appt for the rental company to secure new linens and update our list, and find/rent a place for FI's grandparents. 

59 days to go for me, so it's crunch time!!!

    9 days out...stress setting in big time!

    The past week's accomplishments:

    Finished the gazebo for my cake topper - it lights up - I'm very proud of it!
    Got all of the paper cut for my programs - told FI he must help those with me this week
    Had my hair trial yesterday
    Made my table numbers (twice - first time the writing was cut off by the frame so I had to redo them)
    Started our day-of timeline
    Ordered the hydrangeas for the centerpieces
    Made 4 of the 7 bouquets I need to make
    Told FI he needs to figure out how we're getting 70 chairs from his work to our ceremony and back.

    Tomorrow I am meeting with my ceremony coordinator and my photographer at the ceremony site.  I also need to do some Goodwill shopping for more candy buffet containers. 

    Today - I have to complete Unit 4 for my class, and by next Thursday I have to write a 12 page paper that I haven't started researching yet. Ya, I don't think I counted correctly when I started this current class since it's finishing two days before the wedding!  Oops!

    65 days to go here, so also in crunch time, just not as much as hcorrigan ;)

    All of our invitations are stuffed, sealed, and stamped, FI is finishing up the wax seals this weekend, and everything gets mailed out on Tuesday of next week. It's our mutual day off, and we both want to be there to drop the invitations off :D

    Had my hair trial on Tuesday, stopped in to my bridal shop, the bridesmaids dresses are in, now it's just a matter of getting the dresses out to everyone for fittings. I have two bridesmaids figured out, two to go.

    I need to work on the programs, this is by far the project I have procrastinated the most on. I also need to finish up tying bows on the bubbles (2/3 done) and making ribbon wands (1/2 done). 

    I think that's about it

    I am much farther out, but I did accomplish a lot this past week!

    - I bought my wedding dress!
    - Fi and I scheduled a tasting for our venue
    - We met with a potential DJ and LOVED him
    - I ordered our save the dates and started a wedding website to go along with them

    Congrats on the dress esskem!  I'd love to see a pic if you have it.  Also, what DJ did you meet with?  I'm curious.  :)

    I met with Scott Keo - we seemed to really click with him and his prices are pretty affordable. My fiance and I are 99% sure we are going to book him =)


    Here are some pictures of my dress! I got it at Sweet Love in Gardiner, so it was about 1/3 of the original price. They have the cutest little shop.

    16 days to go and I'm finally pulling together the last minute details...

    --FI and I made 74 of our 80 centerpieces & 4 of our 10 guest books bottles; bought goo gone for the stubborn bottles and should have three more bottles from friends soon. 
    --Tissue paper pomanders are officially DONE!
    --Picked up our marriage license
    --Bought (most) everything for the bathroom baskets
    --Got the RD favors in
    --Second fitting and bustle training on Saturday
    --Hair & makeup trial yesterday
    --Meeting with officiant over dinner tomorrow
    --Talked to the venue coordinator that will be there day-of and talked about how seating will be set-up. 
    --Talked with my "florist" (Auntie!) to confirm bouquets and bouts.
    --Bachelorette party Saturday night!!

    Good luck on your to-do list Corrigan!

    Everyone has gotten a lot done! Congrats!

    - FI and I finalized our ceremony last night... Yay! Huge relief!
    - I'm on week 2 of my diet... ugh!
    - I ordered the paper for my programs and expect it will be here tomorrow and I can get to working on them.
    - Tonight FI and I area going to pick out the ties for the wedding,  the tuxes are all set I just have to match tie colors.
    - We got our first RSVP's
    - I designed our seating chart poster for the lobby and now am just entering the names in as the rsvp's come in.
    - Started filling out the place cards
    - Tomorrow I am going to start making phone calls to do a wish lantern release at the end of the ceremony.
    - Have our itinarary for the HM all done
    - Oh and I bought all my goodies for the HM.... Wink

    That's all for now, it would be nice to get more accomplished though!

    30 days to go for me so I'm definitely crunching as well! We got a lot of stuff half done this week, but didn't complete too much unfortunately. We did FINALLY hear back from the photo guy at Sugarloaf with pictures. We need one that's big enough to make into a poster and cut up for escort cards. I'm still bugging FI to figure out about sabers for our saber arch though. That is one thing that I will be SO happy when it is finally taken care of...

    wew, good luck everyone. I'm 99 days out! Still have time thankfully!

    We got our engagement pics finally, they came out great :)
    I have a dress fitting next saturday
    we're looking into limo's this week
