Anyone else paying for the wedding yourself and just realize there is only 3 more paychecks before the wedding!!!  GAAAAHHH !!!!Surprised

    6 more for me, but I get paid weekly.

    And I won't be paid the entire week I'm out for wedding related festivities and preparedness. Since I'm a contractor, I have no vacation or sick time :-(

    I had my freak out last month but some how we got all the money together and should be good to go.  We were craigs list fools for a while.  We only had a 5 month engagement.  Now I realize when paying for your own wedding longer to save is much better but it all worked out.

    I work 2 jobs so I get paid every week since they each fall on opposite weeks. I've got a chunk saved already for most of the big stuff, but I had to remind FI that we have to pay the remaining balances for most of the vendors a month before the wedding. I think he didn't realize how quickly this stuff comes up. We have been engaged over 2 years already, but he is just not a saver.

    Yep! Fortunatelly FI and I saved up for a year so we have most of our wedding related costs taken care of already! That really takes a lot of the stress away :)

    I had that freak out already (several times in fact).  Once last July, then last August, then again this April, then May.  But we pulled all of our resources and made some concessions and now everything except the limos are paid for in full.  We both get paid weekly, but life happens to us frequently and since this is neither of our 1st marriages we have 6 kids between us it has been a difficult financial road for us.  Keep your head up and it will all come together for you.

    FI & I paid off as much as we could at the beginning. We recently paid the remainder of the $4k room minimum and now all we owe for balances is $260 for the cake baker (unless we need less than 200 cupcakes which should be the case) and $300 to the Church. Then we're all set other than anything above and beyond we decide to buy. It IS a little stressful right now because we just got an apartment and have all those expenses too now, but I think it'll be just fine.

    Oh yeah!!! And added to an already tight budger my car got sick and that was about $400 in repairs. :/
