So, FI went to get my surprise wedding band created yesterday...and he took my engagement ring with him.  My ring is a duplicate of the tiffany legacy, well our jeweler took my ring and checked it out...apparently I chipped one tiny diamond and cracked another!  Jeweler said this could be because I type all day, or because my ring spins sometimes... he replaced them but I was told I am not allowed to wear it until July 14th since he buffed it and made it all sparkly again...lol.  I feel so naked!!

    OMG I would never go a whole month not wearing my e-ring I would just bring it back again the week of the wedding to get it cleaned and buffed.

    Oh no! I feel your pain though... In order to get my wedding band we had to ship my ring to canada (they closed all the american stores..) I was without it for almost two months and I was terrified I was never going to see it again haha

    I'm glad your jeweler was able to fix your ring!

    Yikes!  I'm always paranoid about bumping my ring into something.  Glad he was able to replace the diamonds!

    How is it possible to chip your ring from typing? I am confused.

    I hope my diamonds are okay!!! Good thing the jeweler noticed and fixed it up!

    I was thinking the same thing! Aren't diamonds one of the strongest materials in the world? I didn't think you could crack them. Knock loose, maybe, but not crack...??

    hmmm..... I type all day myself and my ring is still in perfect condition.....weird.

    He said if you hit the keyboard with your ring...I didnt realize that it could be possible either but he said its possible, especially if it spins.

    Thanks he fixed it on the spot, took him a few hours...there have definitely been times I have knocked my hand and heard it smack and got worried but thought the same way everyone else did...its not my center stone, thank god...just the teeny ones going around the band...

    wow, I have never heard of cracking a diamond before...I type all day long and always knock my ring on things, and wear it to do yoga and lift weights...I can't believe that happened to you!!

    I wouldnt be able to not wear my ring. After what happened with my purse, I have pretty much decided I am never, EVER, taking it off, and that it is safest while attached to my finger.
