"personalizing" maid gift

I am getting custom made makeup bags/clutches for my maids (5) and they have custom tags on the inside. Would people generally prefer just their own name:

or would they like a personal note with the wedding date:

    I'm not much on personalizing but if it's on the inside you can put their name.  Don't put your wedding date on their gifts because it's a gift for them, not part of your wedding.

    Agree with pp. Nobody wants a wedding souvineer with a date on it except the bride and groom. It is the most special day of your life, but doesn't mean as much to them. I'd go with the name.
