Guest Welcome bags

Hi! I'm looking for suggestions of things to include in the guest welcome bag....especially something small that is a trademark of Cape Cod -- any ideas?

You can get cape cod potato chips directly from them for $25 for a box of 120 bags...

I second the Cape Cod potato chips.  We also did small bags of chocolate-covered cranberries and I know a lot of people include some Nantucket Nectars.  You can also go to the Chamber of Commerce and pick up a bunch of maps and guide books for the particular town you're getting married in.

In addition to the other ideas, we included local postcards (from XMass Tree Shops), whale stickers, lobster lollipops and goldfish crackers.  As long as you include something sweet, something salty, a beverage and local information (and a welcome note from you and FI!), your guests will be thrilled.

Don't forget some salt water taffy!

You could go all out and get Cape Cop Beer Company beers! But I like all of the above ideas.

Cranberry bog frogs.  They are like traditional chocolate turtles but w/ cranberries.

These are all great ideas!  We're  including flip flop keychains from Oriental Trading which are $3.99 for 12.  I also picked up cute little beach ball favor bags from O.T. to put the salt water taffy in.  I was able to get Old Cape Cod beach plum jam from Christmas Tree Shops a little while back, along with the lobster pops - only .20 each - I'll be tying two together with nautical-looking thin rope.   I was thinking of getting small coffee packets from Cape cod Coffee Roasters in Mashpee, and then trying to find an inexpensive Cape Cod mug.  You could put in crackers or cookies from Late July, or tea bags from Nantucket Tea Traders.  I'm looking at flip flop playing cards ($2.62 ea. from Creative Wedding Favors  - these are the standard size cards because there are flip flop cards that are miniature sized which are quite a bit cheaper).

I do have a question, though.  Are the brochures from the Chamber Of Commerce free, or do you pay $4.95 each, as the website states?  If so, that would be a little expensive for 35 bags!!!

Christmas Tree shops have little glass bottles that say "Cape Cod Air" and I think they're only $1! We've had one of these in our cottage since I was a kid - such a cute idea!

Homeschoolmom-- lots of good ideas! I've seen Cape Cod mugs at Cuffy's for about $3 each. I wonder if they can go lower for a bulk sale. We have 2 in our apartment and love them.
