well. . . at my FI's brothers wedding last year, I became friendly with one of the bridesmaids and now we're friends on facebook. (stick with me, I know it doesn't seem related, but it is!) Anyway, she has a website called wouldhavesaid.com
This is the description from the site:
Whether the person has passed away, contact was lost, or the strength needed at the time was lacking, this is a chance to say what you have always wanted them to know.
so you write a letter, email it in, and maybe get it posted on the site. Well. I wrote a letter to FI's mom. Emailed it. She got it, recognized me, sent me the SWEETEST email back and told me it would be on the site the following week. Well, on monday she sent me an email saying it would be up the following day, and it was! I LOVE the whole idea of the site, I feel like it's so good to be able to express what you're feeling even if the people you want/need to express it to aren't around.
Anyhow, feel free to check out her site and read my letter! There are so many other ones on there that are so touching and heart felt, as well as some that might make you giggle.
I just wanted to share, and tell you all thank you again for your thoughts and prayers for the strength for me to be able to get through that difficult day. you guys are awesome
