Has any of you gotten your marriage license yet? I'm an oct. 6th bride and my county says we can't apply until at least 30 days prior to wedding so we are going on the 10th. I'm just wondering if that's a common thing...

Our state (IL) lets you get the marriage license up to 60 days before. We haven't gone yet, and I'm not sure when we'll go, but it's going to get done eventually.

It's 60 days in Pennsylvania. We are planning on going Sept. 20th, exactly 1 month before our wedding.

Each state and province has their own laws. I'm in Ontario, Canada and we are able to get our marriage license 90 days before the wedding. We got ours the first weekend of August since we both had the day off.

I''m in NJ also and our local clerks office said we could apply now, but we had to pick it up no earlier than 30 days before. So we applied Monday and will pick it up after 9/14.

We cannot secure one more than ten days prior, so we will push that to the last week of September

In Ohio you have 60 days. We got ours on Monday and let me tell you, it made my heart stop for a moment haha.

Ours is 30 days so we haven't gotten it yet. Even if we could get it sooner, I'm not sure I would want to. It makes it that much harder to wait every time we do something like that - instrumental in the wedding (officiant, rings, church, etc.). I know that once we get the marriage license, we'll both be holding ourselves back lol. Technically that's the last thing we really need to get married. The rest is just icing on top. :-) We already joke that we have the preacher, the dress, and the church - what's stopping us?

I'm an Ohio bride, too. My FI and I are trying to find time to go. The office is only open until 3:30, M-F. We are both teachers, so that makes things a bit tricky. I guess we will have to pick a day to run out the door with the students. I just want to get the dang thing already!

I am an Quebecois bride and we have 90 days as well, but it is up to our officiant to get it ... apparently... part of what we are paying him to do

so he is going Sept 6th to put in the information.

In NC it's 60 days and we went last Friday! Then, on Tuesday our rings were ready. I stopped, looked at my FI and said, we could go get married now :-). Can't wait! 50 days to go!

We're getting married in DE and it's 30 days. We're going on the 17th to get ours and the wedding is October 6th.

It's 60 days in IL, and in Chicago, City Hall only issues them on Wednesdays, so we're going next week - one less thing to think about later!

SC is a year. FI and I found ourselves with a rare Friday off together a few weeks ago, which was less than 60 days (just in case I was reading it wrong), so we got ours! YAY

Missouri doesn't have a wait time, but the license is good for 30 days, so we'll probably get ours about 2 weeks before the wedding.
