Sacramento area brides....I need help with a florist!

Ok ladies, I need some help! I am desperate for a florist who has nice stuff but is reasonable.

We're doing my bouquets and my 3 BMs. We're doing minimal flowers, I mean like a total of 12 individual flowers and maybe a small piece for the reception and some little things for the ceremony.

I don't think I should be spending more that $700 max for flowers. Who would you reccomend? Or who did you use, and if you don't mind sharing your experience, what sort of things you got and how their prices were?

TIA!

If you live by the Sunrise Mall..there is a florist there every Sunday morning at the farmer's market and she is GREAT!! I just showed her pics of the bouquets I wanted, the boutineers and a bunch of loose flowers for me to put in vaces.  All the flowers looked amazing and it was crazy cheap.  I wish I could remember her name..she was so super nice and helpfull! :)  If you have any questions let me know! :)

I got married in August and used Katie Edwards of Ambience Floral Designs out of Roseville.  I had 7 BMs and 7 GMs, 3moms, 3 dads, a reader, FG, and 2 RB, grandparents, and more.  On top of all that, I had 30 centerpieces...I got ALL of that in addition to cake flowers and other accent flowers here and there for about $2100.  Its definitely possible to do what you're trying to do for $700 or less.  That being said, Katie and her team are amazing and probably one of my favorite vendors out of all those that I used.  She really listens and will work with any budget.  Tell her what you're looking to spend and let her go to work!

I tried contacting Katie via her website and never got a response.  Hopefully you'll have better luck.

I would call the shop and make an appointment that way.  I never had any luck with the email.

Check out Costco -- you can order bulk flowers, but they also have some packages of arranged flowers (mostly roses--but if you like roses, they are a good way to go).  Our photographer told us that she did a wedding recently where the flowers were from Costco and they were beautiful.

My Florist was AMAZING....www.flowerworks.biz out of Rocklin.  She is so sweet and I can't say enough about my flowers!  She was very reasonable too....I made such a great choice in hiring her!

I have a personal friend that does pro wedding flowers on the side.  I've been watching him work for most of my growing up years.  Anyway, let me know you want a phone number.  He works in Elk Grove, I think, so Sac is very possible.
