Fiance and Registry Stalking

This is so funny I just had to share it :-)

We're about 10 weeks out. My fiance was looking at our registry last week and noticed that someone bought us our first gift (a hand mixer).  Every day since then he has been OBSESSED with stalking our registry to see if anyone else has bought us anything.  I think he's addicted!  It's really cute to see him excited about sheets and place settings.

Does anyone else's fiance stalk their registry?

  • My fiance could not care less about our registry, but when someone bought us our first gift (a crystal picture frame) I was SO excited!

  • I don't like H even remembered the password to ours.
  • So far, FI hasn't been very interested in the registering process. Maybe when we start getting gifts he'll get excited.
  • I tell FI if something has been purchased. For the most part I don't think he cares even though he loves to cook.
  • Fiance hasn't been stalking ours (I don't think) but LOL!
Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.
  • I stalk. I SWEAR I TRY TO STOP but it all started when I saw nothing bought then got some at the shower...so I looked and sure as anything all but one item was taken off registry that I got...so I deleted that one.

Then I went in about a week ago and was not going to look BUT saw that one place setting of our china was bought...it was the VERY FIRST item on the list so I could SEE it without cheating lol.

Now I admit I cheat...I saw a few more and all of a sudden the china and those items showed up at the house...then last night I saw more....it's addicting haha.

I had people call me up asking if they could give us VISA gc's and cash I'm like SURE!! We have a March 11th completion party at BBB

  • It's an illness I swear! I had to stop stalking because Macy's sends us a note whenever something is purchased. Doesn't stop me from being a little obsessive. FI isn't nearly as excited - his participation ended after the sip and scan.

BTW - true story. He went to the sip and scan and thought whenever we went to put stuff on the registry someone would be stalking us with champagne, mini quiche and chocolate covered strawberries. He's been disappointed ever since and stuck to doing it online.

  • My FSIL husband actually changed the password to their registry so she couldn't check it and, even though they had registered for everything, there was still an element of surprise at the shower.  I'm going to hanve FI do the same because I KNOW I'll waste so much time stalking the registry.
  • You can still check it without the password:-)  Instead of going in to "edit" your registry, just go to like you would if you were a guest, and you will see what has already been purchased.   Sorry, that's probably not helpful:-)

  • That's cute! I tell my FI when something has been purchased but he won't let me tell him what...he wants to be surprised :-) I try to tell him that's it's okay because we don't know who bought the gift but he still won't let me tell him

Exactly! I gave my FI the passwords, but he keeps forgetting them. I keep reminding him that he doesn't need it. I don't login to look at them, I just look like a guest. Except for the Target one that tracks how many views you have. That I kind of like to watch grow.<div>

  • My fiancé called me SO EXCITED when he noticed our first gift had been bought. I wouldn't have noticed probably for several more days or weeks. It was a bamboo spoon and some ramekins, and he was ELATED. It was so cute. He is very passionate and that's why I love him!
