Recommendations for Good Cake/Cupcake Bakeries in the Triad and RDU areas

It is really hard to get good search results specific to your local area with the search function at the bottom of the page. When I try to do a search on the current board, it gives me results from the national boards. Does anyone else have that problem?

Anyway, I am looking for recommendations for good bakeries in the triad and rdu areas. I am leaning more into cupcakes compared to the traditional tiered cakes because I would like to incorporate them into our dessert/candy buffet.

Where places I should check out? I am really not looking to pay anymore than $3.75-$4 for quality cupcakes. If that's the case, I might as well get a cake based on some prices I have seen.

I wish I had recommendations on cupcakes for you, however I had a traditional cake and the lady I used mostly makes cakes.

However, if you'd like to check her out, I think she's pretty awesome.

I also found her prices very reasonable, but can't remember exactly how much we paid as our wedding was almost 1 1/2 years ago.

I also wanted to add that occasionally the search engine works and sometimes it doesnt. The Knot is very glitchy like that, but no, it's not just you. We all experience the frustration

Cakes and All Things Yummy in Kernersville is supposed to be really good but i've never tried anything. I am using Cakes by Manfred in Kernersville. He's from Germany and is fantastic. He works alone and has no overhead so he's cheaper than anywhere I could find. You can google both these places.

A Cupcake Diva (they are out of raleigh-you can google them) They aare amazing! We sell their cupcakes at our Yogurt shop and they are always such a hit!! She does unthinkable flavors and also does traditional. She also did my friends wedding- she does cake pops too! We love them!

I used Stephanie English from Piece of Cake Bakery. She was working out of her house in Holly Springs at the time but has since opened a shop in Raleigh. She had AMAZING cupcakes and decorated everything exactly as I asked. Plus, her prices were phenomenal - only $2 a cupcake. If you need any information, PM me!
