Wedding Day Timeline

I am having trouble working out what our wedding day timeline will be, from getting up in the morning to driving away from the reception.  Is there a place on this website (or any other website) with people's wedding day timelines?  Or would anyone be willing to post their own?  Thanks SO much! :)

    My Blog:Through My Eyes

  • How detailed are you looking for?  Mine took up an entire page (tiny font) in Excel, indicating who was involved in the action, what vehicle they were taking, and what they needed to remember to bring.  I made up the schedule and then as I thought of other things I added them.  I made sure that everyone had a car to be in.  I emailed it to my BMs so they knew where to be and what the plan was for the day, and made sure to have a few copies around on the day.

It also included everyone's phone numbers - wedding party, reception venue, florist, DJ, cake, etc. in case there was an issue and we needed to contact someone.
  • I emailed my vendors and said- heres the things i want... what do you guys think about the timeline and came up with ours..... they had great ideas and really knew how long to expect for each thing - even things we didn't think of (receiving line).... it's going to be a long day but we want TONS of photos taken and the groom does NOT want to see me AT ALL until i walk down the asile.

8am- 9 ladies get their hair done
noon- arrive at ceremony site for photos
    1:30 seating of the guests
    2pm ceremony
    2:30-3- receiving line
3-6pm pictures at 4 different locations
*5pm- cocktail hour for the guests
    6:15 grand introduction
    6:30 dinner
    8- dancing
    9- cake
    midnight- good night! :)
  • Thank you guys for sharing.  Naomikb, I'd love to see your ultra-detailed one, but I get if you don't want to share it with possible personal info on it!  Maybe you could just tell your general timeline.

  • I'm still working on my timeline, but I started with what I knew was going to happen (i.e. Ceremony start time, reception start time, etc) and I'm filling in the blanks from there.  I'm pretty sure mine will end up like naomikb's, since I have to control every detail of everything.  (blgrout=control freak).  :)
