Thought I'd post a bit of an update. This will be a post and run as I have had a headache all day and looking at the computer screen isn't helping much. I had my back surgery Monday. They worked on L4 and L5 (I have 2 others that weren't as bad). I lost more blood then they wanted so I had to stay in til Tuesday. Here the nerve/bone/disc (something like that) was worse then expected and it burst while the doc was in there so that is what caused the extra bleeding. I was lucky enough not to need a fusion so that is good!
I haven't been able to keep anything down so I been drinking sprite and eating crackers. I have not taken any pain meds since yesterday afternoon when I got home. So I just ate some roman noodles, so hopefully that stays down and I am ok to go. I am in a bit of pain but I am so tolerable that I don't feel the need to have to take the meds yet.
My bandages are off, I have what they call butterfly stiches, I have about 10 of them. I never had stiches in my life. So this is a bit different then anything for me.
Alright before I bore everyone. Just wanted to update a little.
Hope you all have a great week. I will be catching up sometime soon I hope.
I should know if the surgery helped or not, 6 weeks to 12 weeks out. I have a follow up on the 26th.
