YAY got my Ceremony/Reception site! Finally!

After looking at MANY different places and sites, I finally found a place to have my reception/ceremony. We are having it in Southport at their community building. It has a HUGE deck overlooking the river with lots of live oaks covering it with shade, and a beautiful indoor space with lots of windows overlooking the river as well :) The official date is October 8th, 2011! So excited! Finally, one weight has been lifted off my chest! Now, on to caterer's and dress shopping!

    Woohoo! That sounds so beautiful. I need to get down to Southport because I really want to visit. I can't wait to hear more about your details as things come together.

    Are you going to look for caterer's in the Southport area? Or are you thinking of including Wilmington in your search? If you do end up looking at caterers in Wilmington I definitely recommend Bon Appetit. They catered my wedding and the buffet & food was so beautiful (and delicious). Everyone commented saying everything was yummy. I should have pictures of the buffet soon if you are interested.

    We looked at the Southport Center.  Very very nice!  Congrats!  It will be beautiful!

    That sounds like gorgeous scenery!  Congrats!!!  It all starts to fall into place once you know WHERE you are getting married!  Best of luck with the rest of the planning...the big day will be here before you know it!  I feel like I just started this process, and I only have a little over 2 months now!!!  Eeeekkkk!

    Congratulations on finding yoru venue and setting the date! I grew up going to Oak Island every summer so we always went to Southpoint. It's so pretty there and will be a great location for a wedding.  Pictures under the trees with the Spanish Moss will be so beautiful.

    Congrats, it is so nice once you have your venue book.  It makes it fell official!  Sounds really beautiful, if you have any pictures, post them!

    Thanks everyone! I will post pictures on my profile soon! Not sure how to upload pictures onto the discussion board. (If someone wants to enlighten me, that would be great!) It definitely does feel like it is all becoming real now that we have things set in stone! I am getting so excited, but it feels like it is going to be forever until 10-08-11 arrives!!
