    Got one! My co-workers are throwing me a shower on June 3rd! I was so surprised and think it's so sweet of them!

    Yesterday I had a keratin treatment done to my hair.  I've been having some sudden problems managing my hair.  For one thing, my stylist who had always done my hair passed away suddenly in November.  I've also been under a lot of stress, and it was recommended that the keratin treatment will make my hair healthier.

    The goal is that it will still be curly/wavy, but less dry, so shinier, etc.

    The process lasted 5 hours (they said 4 ahead of time), but the building was evacuated (bomb threat) so it took longer.  The stylist carefully applied the keratin to all my hair, waited about 30 minutes, then blow dried my hair, and then flat ironed it in tiny sections.  The flat ironing makes the keratin really stick to the hair.  I'm not supposed to get it wet or tie it for 72 hours.  So I can't work out cause I'd sweat (bummer), and I can't cook (yay!  vacation!) cause I can't tie it back.  Right now it's straight, but after I wash it, it's supposed to get the wave back.

    temurlang, you look great. Can't wait to see it with the wave in it.

    R finished his parenting  class and "graduation" was yesterday. I'm so proud of him and the efforts and changes he's made to be a better father!

    @DFW - that's so nice of your coworkers! Enjoy the shower :)

    @Tem - I can't wait to hear how the treatment turns out! Hopefully it will help with the manageability issues.

    @Beloved - That's so great that R is really trying to turn his behavior around and will be a good father to both your babies :)

    I extended my stay in London for two and a half more weeks! I get more time with my love before I head home and my work has no issue with it! YAY!
