Ring a ling

So I hadn't heard from the jeweler yet about FI's band and so I called today and it has been in since the 20th of January!! They had my phone number wrong. So I picked it up tonight....


Anyway got me thinking in my spare time how absolutely freaking excited I was to see FI with a ring on his finger! It fills me with so much joy to think about looking over at my man and seeing that ring. I don't know how to explain the exact feeling but its like pride, love, and happiness all rolled into one. I think on our honeymoon I'll just spend hours staring at him with that on his left hand. Do you know that feeling i'm talking about?

    I totally get what you're saying.  FI and I still haven't picked out bands but I can't wait till he has his ring to wear.  I've been wearing my engagement ring and his hand is naked lol.  He needs a ring!

    I know exactly what you mean!!!  I make FI try his on like once a month - well not really.  Its in the safe and whenever I open it I just check to make sure it's still there.  And then have him try it on to make sure it still fits.  I LOVE seeing him with the ring on!  But I'm a little sad because I really don't think he's going to wear it much at all.... :( 

    BTW Whit, did you get your wedding band figured out?!

    YES! Our bands came back over the weekend and it made my heart smile to see him try it on and look at his hand like I look at mine!  It is exactly that, "pride" to know that he is all mine and that ring is a symbol of what we share.  Happy for you and you are def not alone on how you are feeling! =)

    Yes!! When we went to pick them out and FI tried it on to see if it fit, it gave me chills to see it on his hand! And the one ring they had that he liked, fit perfectly so we didn't even have to order one... it was like fate :)
    I take it out of the safe every once in a while to look at it too... but FI doesn't know. He'd probably think I was crazy.

    Well yes and no. Everyone wanted over $3000 for it so I just gave up and I'm not getting a wedding band. I assume I will in the future when we can truly afford the investment.

    That is crazy that they wanted that much for the band!!!  I mean how big were the diamonds you were getting in it?

    I'm having mine made and while it was much more than I thought it would be - but because I changed my mind on what I wanted.  It is still no where near $3000!!!  That is crazy!
