Il Villaggio

My cousin just had a baby a few days ago, and I was on my way to Hackensack Medical Center when I passed by Il Villaggio. I immediatly fell in love with it! FI and I are going to check it out but, since we are only having 120 guests, I'm not sure they could accomodate us.  When I got home, I decided to check out the boards, and I read that Il Villaggio accomodates big weddings. So, before I go in and make a fool of myself, lol, do you think they will accomodate only 120 guests?

Thanks everyone!! Any input would be great ;)

No they woun't.  I had a 120 person wedding on a Saturday night and when I called to set up an appointment they flat out told me they can not have a wedding that small on a Saturday night. It may be different for a Friday or Sunday.

  • I had my reception at Il Villaggio and can't say enough good things about them. The place is beautiful and the food was amazing. I would give them a call and see what they say. Ask for John he went above and beyond for us. :
  • Thanks!!! :
  • I think it is still worth it to check it out.  I know a lot of places will have a min of 150 guests for a sat night wedding, but you never know.  As Hobokenbride stated, they might not have restrictions on other days, off season weddings or their policies might change.  Its only a phone call

  • Definitely ask.  If you're getting married on a low demand date, they might be willing to accomodate you.
  • Thanks all! will do!! ;D
  • Thanks all! will do!! ;D
  • Totally ask!!!
My friend was in a similar situation and because her wedding date happened to fall on a date that was not in high-demand, the catering hall was able to make an exception. She had hers at Seasons in Washington Township with only 110 guests.

Besides, it can't hurt to go in. You might lose an hour of your time but at least you will gain the experience and see what different places have to offer.

    Good luck!

We are having our reception at il Villaggio on a Saturday night, with a minimum of 125 people. You can definitely do it! We saw the room set up for a party of that size, and it really is perfect. Patrick is our coordinator and he is fabulous.
  • Just had my reception at Il Villaggio on 9/29/12. It was fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about Patrick and Alex. If you can work with them it is definitely worth having your wedding there. I thoroughly enjoyed my wedding because they made it stress free. Love love love that place!!! Good luck!
  • We have around 110 people too, and when we were looking at venues most would accommodate that many if you could still meet their minimum spend (like through adding extra stations at cocktail hour). The only place that would not even meet with us was Florentine Gardens. We met with Il Vilaggio and they would have done our wedding. We just ended up selecting another venue.
  • My sister had her wedding there Sept 2008 on a friday night and she only had 125 people. Food, service, and the space was perfect. Never hurts to ask :)
