Shoe Help!

My aisle is cobblestone, I have been unable to find any cute shoes that I feel comfortable wearing any ideas??!!
Wedges...? Ballet flats dont look dressy enough but im paranoid I will fall and break my leg in heels!!

Re: Shoe Help!

  • If your worried about it, couldn't you just do the ballet flats for the ceremony and then change for pictures? You'll probably be back in flats for the reception anyway. Just make sure if you wear heals they aren't too high or it might throw off the hem of the dress.

  • When I was in Europe I was amazed at how difficult it was to walk on cobblestone in NORMAL shoes!  I'd definitely pick something with a low heel, and a wedge sounds like it would be much easier than a heel.  Depending on how "cobbled" it is, a regular heel would get stuck in between the bricks.  Flats would probably be best, but you could probably get away with wedges.

  • Ballet flats could be very classy and dressy...and you can always change to a pair of heels for photos. Here are my top list of ballet flats :

  • Vera Wang Lavendar Label 'Lanie' Shoes are really dressy!  They are what my sister is wearing for her wedding.

  • Flats could work. Make sure they have a pretty thick sole, though--you don't want to feel like you are barefoot.
They do make little protector caps that go on the end of heels if you prefer that look. Solemates or Heelsabove are a couple of brands, and I plan on getting these for my outdoor wedding. It's not cobblestone, but definitely don't want to sink in the grass.
