I'm back... and married! (LONG)

Hi girls! I missed you! Lisa, I just now saw your page from 4 days ago- sorry! We got home from our honeymoon in Riviera Maya on Sunday and have been so busy since!

The wedding was absolutely perfect. I cried in my pastor's office for like a half hour before the ceremony began because I was so nervous! (not nervous to get married, but nervous for all those people watching, walking down the aisle, etc). As I walked down the aisle, I cried, but once I got up there, I was fine and so happy. My husband (love saying that!) even cried a bit during the ceremony and he is not a crier at all! We wrote our own vows, so that was special and my pastor put a few things in her message about us to give it a personal touch (one thing she said no one even knew what it meant except us- it was something from premarital counseling). I loved that she lightened the mood and made us feel comfortable.

The reception was also perfect! I had a wonderful time and many people kept talking about how much fun it was! I want to go back and do it all over again!

The honeymoon was amazing as well. We did 2 excursions- 1 with repelling, ziplining, swimming in an underground cave, lunch and visiting Tulum- Mayan Ruins. The other excursion was swimming with dolphins. Both were so fun!

Advice... hmmm...

1. Don't cry before the ceremony like I did. I stressed myself out for nothing!

2. Take mental snapshots all day. As people have said before, it goes by SO FAST!!

3. Make sure you only speak to each table VERY BRIEFLY at the reception. We talked too long and didn't get to talk to everyone. I am still mad at myself for not talking to some family members who I haven't seen in years. After all the organized dances were done, I wanted to go talk to them, but they were gone.

4. Don't let little things bother you. Things WILL go wrong (my dad's car died after the rehearsal dinner and had to be jumped, it rained the morning of my wedding, I got dirt from the limo on my dress before we even got to the ceremony, the photos of the extended family after the ceremony took too long and threw off the schedule, I didn't get any of the kind of cookies I like from the cookie table because they were gone by the time I got over there)... but with all of that, I STILL feel that the day was 100% perfect.

As for pictures... professional ones aren't back yet and the photo site I set up for people to post their pics didn't work. Here are some that people took that I got from them (hope this works- I can't ever figure out how to post pics on here):

Me with my bridesmaids:

Dad giving me to Ry:

Us during the ceremony:

And this is the one professional pic "teaser" that my photographer posted- me dancing with my dad:

I'll share more when I get them... And maybe I'll share some honeymoon pics if I ever get around to uploading them haha.

And if you got through that terribly long post, here is some ice cream! I love cookies, but Coldstone is my fave!
