advice, help and vent

ok we had a place in ga no deposit as of yet. today got told the price had doubled due to add ons and based on 100 pple. not sure if i missed it or what but didnt think based on 100.  so we were also thinking vegas, well more economical now to stick with east coast since realized most my family dont fly never thought of it before till this weekend.  FI is still going to check out the place in ga just in case and im waiting for confirmation email so i can go over it again and see if i can take off stuff to bring it down. 

so since most family is east coast we thinking TN-  i been to the TN board and not a whole lot of daily posts most were days ago so doesnt seem like pple replying on there.  so i figured post here since we getting married  may 25 2013 that much we do know.  lol

the area of TN we are looking at is gatlinburg/pigeon forge.  im not familar with areas of TN hope someone can help and maybe give suggestions close to ga border as well.

    I'm not familiar with TN other than checking the board you can look online at weddingwire.com for reviews.

    I live in Nashville, TN... The local board is dead!!! You can't go wrong with having a wedding in Gatlinburg it's gorgeous!!! They have some BB's along with cabins that would make great wedding venues... Let me know if I can help any...

    Also, do try looking back in the records of the local board...people might not answer new threads quickly, but often there are reviews in past threads.  On my local board the first thread is a permenent one that just has reviews of vendors in the area, so that was helpful to just get started!

    Yeah, I'd definitely check out WeddingWire for reviews AND going on the Tennessee boards here to look at past posts. This particular board is a month board, so the regular posters here are from all over- I live in Minnesota for example  :-)

    Looks like TK ate my post Grrrr!!!!! I live in Nashville,TN and our local board is DEAD!!!!  You can go wrong with having a wedding in Gatlinburg it is gorgeous there!!!! They have tons of wedding companies that you could use some even have cabins you can rent out. LMK if I can help out any!!!

    lol i think it did FL thank you for the advice. 

    I have visited the LOCAL board. Its dead and I know that brides are all over on the month board, but i thought that brides in TN would be getting married in the month and could assist  .
