Quaint venue ideas?

Hi everyone!

I am a former Knottie turned Bumpie, and since I've been out of wedding planning mode for almost 2 years now, was hoping you guys could help me :-)  My friend's sister is newly engaged and looking for a venue with a 'quaint, shabby chic' feel...the only catch is she's looking to get married in May/June 2013, and most venues are already booked.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

TIA :-)

  • Webb Barn, for sure!  I went to a wedding there, and it was adorable - definitely shabby chic!

The Webb Barn is a great option (that is where I am getting married!), but I know they are booked for every Saturday in 2013 during wedding season. If she is open to a Friday or Sunday, it could work. I would also suggest The Lace Factory. It is AMAZING and was my very close runner-up. The rental fee is the same for both locations.

I should have mentioned, I did already suggest the Webb Barn to her (DH and I actually looked there when we were venue hunting and LOVED it), but decided to go with a more all-inclusive place, but I guess it's totally booked as you said.

I had not heard of The Lace Factory so I will definitely tell her to check that out!  Thanks!

  • The Lace Facotory is similiar in that you have to bring in a lot of the vendors, but Cloud 9 Catering owns the Lace Factory and they may also own the tables, so it wouldn't be as work-intensive has the Webb Barn.

Oh that is good to know that Cloud 9 does the catering...they recently did the catering for my baby shower and the food was really good!
