My shower was on Saturday!

(I accidentally posted this on the February board, whoops!!!!)

It was AMAZING.  My bridesmaids did an afternoon-tea style luncheon, with a little bit of Vegas thrown in (as they said, since we couldn't go to Vegas for the bachelorette party, they were bringing Vegas to me!).  It was just so beautiful.  They put in SO much work, I was just astounded.  And one of my friends came from California!  It was a total shock, they'd all known she was coming since before Christmas and kept it from me.  She had even called and apologized for not being able to make it (originally she had said she would come, when it was planned for MLK weekend, but once it was changed she said she couldn't).  My mom and SILs also came up from NC for it.  We all had such a good time!

Oh and I don't know if everyone has this 'superstition' but my mom and others at the shower all said that however many ribbons I broke while opening gifts, that's how many kids we'll have.  I broke three.  :)

    <div>We have that superstition, too, but all the gifts I opened were from Crate & Barrel or Bed, Bath & Beyond, so they were easily untied. I hope that doesn't mean we'll have NO kids!</div>

    Is it bad that I broke many on purpose?! ;) One of my BM used all the ribbons and bows to make the cutest bouquet for me to use at the rehearsal.

    See I kind of screwed myself with that ribbon superstition. I broke a few in the begining because well I wanted some kiddos! and then I got to some gifts where I had no choice but to bust them. (They said it was payback for what my mother did to them!!) so I ended up with like 5 or 6!! lol

    All my gifts were from Crate & Barrel and BB&B too! So towards the end I used some scissors and broke a couple on purpose - had to give everyone something to cheer about :)
