Help!... Seriously

 I want her to be proud of the proposal, something to talk about.  I know it is not what counts.  What counts are the feelings inside.  But I also know deep down that she really wants to be proud of it all, and proud of me.  She wants a story, and who can blame her?  I just wish I was able to give it to her without any black marks.

    If you don't mind waiting, what about on Christmas Eve or Christmas day? I always thought that would be sweet. Especially on Christmas Eve with the tree glowing, drinking hot chocolate, snuggling on the couch. Just a thought. Good luck!

    Extremely condensed version of the story: I got proposed to in my living room. DH filled the entire room with flowers, and even made a giant heart out of roses on the floor. He stood me inside the heart and got down on one knee. It was a complete surprise. And he used flowers from the grocery store, so it actually didn't cost a ton of money to do.

    There is so many ways to make it special, even in your home.   PP made some good points.  You could also take her to a new special place and make that "yours"  Rack your brain for all the places that were special to you both also and maybe take her to one of those. 

    I think any way you do it at this point will be special.  And on the flip side, she should appreciate any way you do it because you are trying so hard to make it special.  GL!

    Ice skating in Rockefeller Center (in NCY) would be my reccomendation. My parents are from the north and that has seemed so romantic.

    There is usually so much going on at Christmas that I would not want to be engaged on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.  Maybe it is because I am a very private person!!

    I always thought it would be need to have a New Year's Eve engagement.  After all, you want to start the new year off on the right foot!!
