Save the Dates

If my wedding is not til Friday June 24, 2011 when should I send out the save the dates?  The majority of our guests are going to be from out of town...like out of state and several of them are a few states away.  Case in point, my mom and sisters are in Las Vegas and my FI family is in Texas and Oklahoma.  Our wedding is in Youngstown OH.  TIA!!!

My wedding is 7/31/10 and I sent out STDs in Mid-January 2010.  I just wanted people to have the 2010 calendar when they recieved them.  I think generally 5-9 months in advance would work.  My cousin is getting maried 7/3/10 and they sent theirs with their Christmas cards, saves a stamp!

If you have a lot of people coming from out of town, send them before Christmas. Or maybe even just to them. If not, send them in January, that should be fine. However, there's no time that's "too early" after one year, so you're good from here on out.

did you book a venue yet? definitely wait until after you've completed that part, because you never know, you may need to change your date.
