bridal alterations and videographer needed

Trying to decide a place to do alterations for my gown.  These have been the people mentioned to me:  Lupe (don't remember her last name, down in south Austin), Trina (off of north Austin, I believe Burnet) and Alexia Gavela.  Any thoughts???

Also, anyone have a videographer that is good and not expensive?  We just decided that we wanted to have one!!!

I was very satisfied with my alterations at Alexia Gavela. I got my dress bustled, added capped sleeves and hemmed it an inch for $200. Oh, and they can store your dress until the wedding.

Our videographer is learning his craft so he was very, very, very affordable. You can check out his work here: http://vimeo.com/6142780

    Good luck.

I second Alexia Gavela. I haven't had alterations there because my dress hasn't come in, but so far they have been wonderful to work with, and so caring about their brides.

Alexia Gavela for alterations or check out Wong Long (she works out of her house off St. John by Airport/Lamar & I-35).

Capital Wedding Video - we're using them and their work is great & priced right. If you have a huge budget for video check out Joe Simon Productions. Stunning work!

I used Elizabeth Triana of Triana Tailors, as did one of my co-workers, and loved her.  She has an amazing eye for detail, and will fix anything that doesn't look absolutely perfect for her.  I paid about $180 for some major taking-in of the bodice and bust of my dress, some minor tinkering with the waist, and a bustle.  She steamed my dress for both my bridal portraits and wedding, and even did some hand-cleaning of the hem after my bridal portraits.

And I used the same videographer as one of the previous posters- Gerard Castillo.  I haven't seen my video yet, but he was very affordable, professional, and easy to work with.

We were not originally planning for a videographer but decided to get one last minute. I searched Craigslist literally 2 weeks before my wedding and found Johnny Ramirez. He actually does commercial video and is starting out with wedding videography. He was VERY reasonably prices and was extremely professional throughout the entire evening. His email is aquifervideo@yahoo.com.
