Asking brothers GF to read

Is anyone else asking a siblings signifcant other that is unmarried to partipcate in their wedding ceremony?
I ask this because I guess a mid-day rehearsal kind of is ioff putting to people and if it is, then I guess we should ask people WE KNOW are around mid-day.

IE. we asked fiances sister nad aunt to share a reading since they are coming in on the wednesday before and will be free.

Should I ask my brothers gf since shell be free.

They have been togther for about 2 years-- i am afraid theyll break up and then ill have her in family photos---
but now i am nervous to ask someone like my uncle to read, incase he is pissed he has to take a half day off of work

    So far we are having FI's sister do a reading but I'm not sure who else we will ask. Possibly a BM or a GM since they will already be there.

    Ya, my other thought was that.Or asking my mom-- since she is upset she doesnt have "more" of a role of anything in the wedding.. IE like mother of the bride isnt enough for her

    What do you think about asking your brother first? He might be able to give you some better insight re: whether he thinks she'll be around for awhile :)

    Two years is a pretty serious relationship, I think if you would like her to participate then go for it!

    You can have some "family only" photos that way if they break up you can just get rid of photos that have her in them, but if they get married someday you'll be glad to have photos of your whole family!

    ha! I know my brother thinks she is around for the long haul. but he is like george clooney. the girls stay aorund for a while., until things get REALLY serious and then they disappear. I don't know if he dumps them or whatever... but still
    i just dont want to think back in 10 years and he isnt with her and be liek "some random girl read at our wedding"
    but i'm not sure if you think back on readers all that often anyway
