Re: Workout Wednesday

  • Doing good. I'm using this book called Slim Calm Sexy Diet. I like it, more of a lifestyle than a diet. I'm also doing the C25K, I'm on week 5 but a little concerned, it jumps from run 8 walk 5 run 8 on one day to run 20 mins straight the next day. That seems like a big jump. I'm thinking of modifying it.
  • I am working on getting myself back on track. I have been eating a lot better the last couple of days and have finally made it back to the gym for thress days in a row. Yayyyy, lol. I completely fell out of going after I hurt my ankle a couple of months ago and just never got back into it.

I am still FAR from where I wanted to be and honestly thought I would be at this point. FI and I are starting a major overhaul on Saturday, it'll be nice because we're doing it together. Anyone heard of Advocare? We are doing the 24 day challenge and are hoping to really get a jumpstart on some things. We've seen amazing results from it with some couples from our church, so we are excited. It sucks that this is what it's come to, but something needs to be done and I just don't have enough time to do it with only food and exercise. I can no longer say that I am the heaviest I've ever been, because I have lost about eight pounds, but still, shame on me. I feel really good about these products and what we've set out to do tho, so we shall see.
  • Bronchitis has stopped any and all working out... but still maintaining from the 17 day diet.  I may go back on it after TOM... no way I can do it during.

  • I have been tracking my calories with MFP since May which has helped me be aware with my eating. I also have been hitting the gym 3x a week since May. I've had lost 5 pounds since starting that but I kept getting stuck at a plateau.

FI and I started 30 Day Shred on Friday and I can already see a difference in my cardio as well as I have lost 2 pounds since starting. I'm right at that platuea point so I have to keep going with the healthy eating and exercise. I only have 5 - 7 pounds to go but they are the hardest to lose. It's helping that FI is encouraging me and doing the workout with me.

  • My weight is finally going down!  I have lost about 2 pounds in the past 2 weeks.  I sorted switched up what I was eating and eating less carbs more protein.  I would really like to lose 5 more pounds before the wedding.

  • I have finally begun to lose. Down 10.2 in 2 weeks thanks to lowering my carbs and working out steadily. My TOM is coming so I know that number is going to go up again temporarily.

  • I slowed down with my cycling because it's so hot in AZ now even at 7am. We started a low cholesterol/low fat diet centered on plant-based foods. So far no beef or dairy (we're kind of lactose intolerant anyway). FI has lost weight. I haven't lost anything but I definitely feel better in general!

  • I was doing great and then the last 2 weeks have been :/. I'm having a hard time staying motivated even though I can definately see the difference. I'm in the middle of week 3 of C2k. I may also do the 30 day shred too. Eating better is going more smoothly. I havent been as diligent with tracking calories but I am most definately making better choices.

  • Doing good!  Down another 2 lbs but my loss has significantly slowed down and its harder to stay motivated!  It helps that I now have FI on my side and we eat the same things and amounts.  Keeping up with my MMA Kickboxing class and actually look forward to it each week :-)

Keep up the good work everyone!

  • I've been doing CrossFit for the last few months and I love. I feel so much stronger and capable of doing things in the gym.  I used to just go to the gym and jump on cardio equipment - everything else intimidated me.

My worst problem is eating.  I am big into convenience, so I rarely take the time to make healthy meals unless I have it all planned out in advance.  My trainer has been trying to get me to do the Zone diet, so I bought the book and am going to try that out (TRY is the key word!).

  • I'm doing alright. Last week was rough, only exercised twice and my eating wasn't stellar. This week I'm back on track so far, within my calorie goals, and exercised Monday (20 minutes job on the treadmill, 60min BodyPump class, and a walk after dinner) and Tuesday (2 mi walk). Planning on BodyPump again this afternoon, even though I'm still a little sore, and a cardio circuit class tomorrow.
  • I'm very upset with how things are going. I'm still trying to watch what I eat. Since I fell on Saturday I haven't been able to do anything normal especially not exercise. I'm not sleeping well because I can't lay comfortable. I can't sit without being in pain. It sucks and I was SO motivated and walking every day! I gotta fit into my dress. I have to get down some there's not a choice! There isn't much that she can let out. I'm so frustrated!!!
