Hair and Makeup for reasonable?

I want to get my hair and makeup done for the big day. I can do it on my own but I know the difference is with a professional my hair and makeup will LAST all night. I'm on a pretty tight budget though. I've considered going to makeup counters, like Bobbi Brown, and/or to the Aveeda Institute in DC but my biggest concern is that whoever does my trial may not be around on my wedding day. Any recommendations? I may be crazy to think it's possible but I'd love to pay under $200 for both together.

You might check out Nena's Special Occasions Hair and Make-Up. She will do both hair and make-up, and her rates for the combination are well under $200. And she'll do a free trial for the bride.

I know Mary Kay make up consultants do your wedding day make up for free, and ask only for a tip. They do ask you to throw a party before the wedding with you and some of your friends, and I think that's when they'll also do your trial run.

I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding in PA and she used Mary Kay for all of us and they did a great job.

I'm on a budget too so I've been considering it. Good luck!

FYI, I just called Nena's Special Occasions Hair and Make-Up and was told that the trial-run is the same cost as to get it done on the day of the wedding. She's relatively inexpensive, so it's not that big of a deal, I just wanted to mention that that's what I just learned.
