Finding a venue that will allow you to have your own catering

I have been searching and searching for venues in the West Palm Beach area, and I am finding all venues that include catering. A lot of these places are super expensive. And the "budget" packages don't include much of a food selection (or cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres for that matter). Does anyone know of any nice venues in WPB that will allow you to bring in your own catering company (and possibly bar)? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Re: Finding a venue that will allow you to have your own catering

  • You could try country clubs I'm not familiar with wpb area. Good luck.
  • Hmmm...I'm not from the area nor familiar with it, sorry. If anything check out reception vendors on The Knot and if you cannot find any then check on weddingwire.com.

The only places I know are 5 locations you can try checking out...but I don't remember the name of them (I will post it if I remember!):
    - West Palm Beach Zoo....I believe that's the name
    - The Borland Center
    - The Spanish River Library....I think that's the name and if it's the one I'm thinking of...it's really nice!
    - The Harriet Himmel Theater

I don't know the prices of any of these location but I believe the 2nd and 3rd option are budget friendly.
  • morikami japanese gardens & museum ... its in delray beach though ... and there's another one i am familiar with, AOS no longer does weddings, so my only knowledge for WPB area is morikami. aside from being a wedding planner, i also used to work for a catering company, so i am somewhat familiar with venues who allow outside catering.
  • Okay, thanks for the ideas everyone!

There is one called  EVENT HALL  right off  of Palm Beach Lakes Blvd and next to Red Lobster you can't miss it, unfortunately I cannot find the business card but like I said can't miss it when you go inside you will be pleasantly surprised and also he said you don't need a DjJ and showed me the Ipod set up.......nice and fairly new company
