I need some advice on how to write some of our thank you notes. Our destination wedding is two months away and people have already starting shipping us wedding gifts via Macy's.com. The problem we are running into is that most of the items are back ordered and will not ship until February or March. What is the proper etiquette on sending invites. I am not sure if the people who sent the gifts are aware that they are back ordered so I think it would be rude to wait until the gift is delivered to thank them. But I am also stumped on how to word the thank you note since we technically haven't received the gift yet. Does anyone have any suggestions?
