Overall it was an amazing day! We had such a great time and our family and friends had a blast they said. I need to put up my vendor reviews... but I don't have TOO many complaints.
The positives...--the ceremony was amazing. Everyone told me how much they loved it. I never remember saying that to anyone after theirs... so that was special. --The FOOD was to DIE for. I didn't eat much but I tried everything and loved it all. Arthur's did a great job with the food and service. They served champagne for our cocktail hour like we asked. The stations were well staffed and the presentation was gorgeous (modern and clean in our colors). We walked around and all we could hear was people talking about how good the food was. We were happy b/c we are such foodies. Patty Sturgeon is such a calming and helpful person during the planning period too. Love her. --The DJ played all of the songs I asked and never let the party die down. I don't remember leaving the dance floor. --Tracy at Eventfully Yours ROCKED that day. She had done the weddings of four other couples that attended our wedding. So she was having fun but still didn't miss a beat... she ran out and bought more vodka when we ran out (shocking how we ran out!) and dealt with a few little hiccups that came up and I never was the wiser. was great... a few things went wrong but what can you do? -- Our cake was EXACTLY what I wanted and it was STUNNING.

Lee Forrest added flowers to it and I loved it.--Leigh Taylor did a great job with our photos. She was a lot of fun and dealt very well with our crazy wedding party (even coming in to 7-11 with us for a beer and snack stop before formals -- can't wait to see those pix!). --the hummer limo from Adventure Limo's was great. on time, friendly and the price was the best we found.--Patricia LeJeune and her team outdid themselves. I have to say I felt beautiful and my hair and make-up couldn't have been any better. My girls looked HOT too!

They picked their own black cocktail dresses and picked how they wanted to do their hair. My only request was that they go dramatic on their eyes... and they all LOVED it -- even the girls who typically don't play up their eyes. She has such a calming personality too. I wish I could have her for every event I go to. -- Mike & Mike -- these are the two guys who play at Spice on Park Ave on Saturday nights. They played our cocktail hour and it was sooo nice. They sent me a set list for approval and did everything we asked and sounded fantastic.
And the gripes...
--Our flowers were a big disappointment. I have spoken to the florist and he understands and said it was our budget. I thought our budget was pretty good for a 75 person wedding. But what do I know? We provided the candles, lanterns and other decorations. When I saw the room and now look at the pictures I think to myself this is not what we talked about. I wanted the flower to bring the orange and pink color... and it did I guess but not the way I wanted. Oh and if you were planning on using ranunculus for your bouquets beware that the flowers fall apart soon after they were taken out of the water. My bridesmaids were trying to prop their flowers up and fixing mine when I wasn't looking (I had the best BM's!!). And then my bouquet was tossed after the ceremony. So that was a bummer...
-- This is the one that really saddens me. We did not have time for shots before the ceremony of my family and my girls. I didn't get any pictures of just ME in my dress either. I guess our photographer should have made that a priority.. I didn't realize it until the next day. I could cry.. guess I'll just have to get over it.

I'm so sorry about your photo ops and flowers! But I'm glad everything else was fantastic and you had a great time with your guests. That's what you'll remember most years from now.

Have you let your photographer know that you were disappointed? She may be able to set up a mini-shoot of you in your dress or soemthing, so you at least get some pictures of that, even though it's not the same day, at least you may be able to get some photos of it.

I was on your same page Aileene... I asked her about it and she said it would be $650 for the session and the digital images. URGHH... who has an extra $650 after their wedding AND would want to spend it like that?!!! And that is cutting us a deal... she said with the digital images it normally would be $1100.

I'm going to try one more email and tell her what I think and see what she will do. I don't think it was all her fault but I was thinking she'd try to make up for it. Still makes me so sad.
