Bachelorette Party Disappointment

So my maid of honor was supposed to throw my bachelorette party but since she lives in MN and I'm in Chicago, I gave her full permission to share/turn over the duties to someone else. She turned to another bridesmaid, my FI's sister in law.

It is now the night of the bachelorette party and the following things have me down:
1.) FSIL sent out e-vites but didn't follow up so....um.....two people are coming because no one checks their emails anymore.
2.) The designated driver (another bridesmaid) cannot find a sitter and now can't come so now we have to rely on cabs/trains.
3.) FSIL is apparently "too broke" to pay for the pre-party at her house so I am responsible for snacks and whatever liquor I want to drink. I pit "too broke" in quotations because she just got back from Cancun and will be going to Vegas next week. (At her bachelorette party two years ago, all she had to bring was herself).

I hate to sound like a brat but I'm a little disappointed,

You shouldn't judge anyone else's financial situation. FSIL should not be expected to put her vacation on hold, just because you are getting married.

It sounds like you have a small group joining you for the bp. Order a few pizzas for the snacks call it good. It can be your 'thank you' to your friends for coming to your celebration.

I agree that bachelorette parties are a gift, but I completely understand why you're disappointed :(  Hope you had fun despite the disappointment, though!

I had SO much fun! I ended up not bringing snacks because my MOH got lost and I had to go pick her up. Our roommate acted as designated driver after she got off of work.

And of course I don't expect my FSIL to not go on vacation because of my wedding but it's not like it was a once-a-year family vacay. It was like "OMG wanna go to Cancun next month? Then Vegas two weeks later? Totally!". So if she has the money to do that, some $5 pizzas from Little Caesars is doable. I just wished she would've paused and said "lemme put $50 aside for this bachelorette party I've been in charge of for four months".

But still. I had fun. FSIL (and FBIL) pulled out all the stops to make sure we played games and had bottle service (vodka and champagne--FOUR BOTTLES!)
