House of Brides Sale

Has anyone heard of this, my friend told me they are having a really big sale this Sat and Sunday, not sure though. If anyone has any insite on their sales and are they worth it I would appreciate it.

    I went during one of their sale weekends....I actually didn't see any change from their prices (I kept coming back to the stores because I couldn't make up my mind).  But it was definitely a lot more crowded when I went when they had their "sale".

    I ended up going with HOB online.  The prices were a lot cheaper - the dress I picked out was $180+ at HOB, but online, I got $140+ (and another really weird quirk on their site - my computer was giving me $163 for the dress, but two of my friends got $140+.  We used my friend's computer to get the cheaper price!)

    Did the dresses arrive ok?  I saw the HOB online website and it made me nervous.  I know if you pay by credit card and you have a problem - they will reverse the charges.. but then what if this happens too close to the wedding and you can get the dresses in time.  (maybe I am just a worry-wart)

    Was your experience with online HOB a positive one?  How did you go about getting the measurements?

    I haven't received the dresses yet...it should be coming in in April.  My friend however went through HOB online and the dresses came in early and they arrived in perfect condition.  For her wedding, we just took our own measurements and used the chart they had on the site and for my girls, they did the same thing.  One did actually go to a seamstress, just in case, and she had guessed right anyways.  As for the credit card, I did have an issue early on - the address on the credit card and the billing statement were off (I was missing "street" and used unit instead of "apt), but they are really good about emailing you about it.  If that happens, you'd have to email them back in 48 hours and it should be taken care of.
